There's good food at every step & everyone's a food blogger šŸ˜šŸ“øšŸ„˜šŸ°ā˜•

The number of bakeries, cafes, eateries seem to have exploded. And perhaps it's even easier to come to know of their existence because EVERYONE takes photos of food now....somehow this has made me less likely to travel for food because there is so much good food around me, and I actually like going back to a few favourite places where I get to know the people >< because of that I've also stopped taking as many photos as I used to because I'm returning to the same places and eating my favourite dishes :) Even so, it's nice to keep up with the latest trends, like "sandos" or "circle croissants" or "restaurant-style dishes at hawker centers" just to name a few ><

I'm also amazed by cafes that have survived the evolving scene and are able to keep reinventing themselves, still having long queues till today. One of them is Keong Saik Bakery and their breads and pastries are still as tasty as they used to be. I also like walking around the area and admiring the old shophouses, and it's a really nice area to take visitors to as well. There are also many new cafes and eateries finding a home there, including Leckerbaer with their reinvented Danish cookies <3 In the vicinity (Outram), is also a cafe serving the famous Niko Neko matcha and I must say it was a really well/carefully prepared cup of matcha latte.

Personally, I also enjoy visiting places where there is interesting artwork or architecture, and as a fan of Yip Yew Chong's murals, this makes the Tiong Bahru and Chinatown areas in particular really fun for me to keep re-exploring and they are easily accessible by public transport. Most recently, my sister introduced me to a really good pasta stall ( with lobster bisque linguine!!! ) located within the hawker centre at Chinatown.

To keep up with this love for eating in this land/city of food, I'm glad too that there are many campaigns to encourage us to move/walk more, including climbing the stairs at train stations >< Thankfully, I also enjoy playing Pokemon Go and that keeps me active and helps me to discover new places at the same time. Remember to stay "Mootivated" ! he he he
