Although the borders to Japan have finally opened, I'm still waiting for the COVID situation to improve and flight tickets to get cheaper before I make my long awaited trip. In the meantime, we are lucky to have many Japanese products directly flown in from Japan this Christmas season.
As part of the Meitenkai Fair at Isetan, Akasaka Kakiyama sold special rice cracker snacks in beautifully packaged boxes, which were perfect to accompany a cup of green tea. Don don donki has also brought the after work drink culture to Singapore with easy-to-drink drinks such as Choya mixed with soda, somewhat like a light beer as well as their dine in concept of drink drunk donki ><
There is also the "world famous" Cafe Kitsune which has finally landed in Singapore, and while the fox-shaped shortbread cookies are a must, there is also a Singapore special chilli chocolate tart which I decided to try...and it was good! The flavours were well balanced and the tart was well accompanied by a cup of black tea.
