Korean culture has made a big impact around the world in terms of food, songs (kpop), dramas, cosmetics etcetc. In Singapore, there are so many Korean eateries now, which can be a good thing so that we get a taste of Korean without having to travel. We even get exposed to things like K-cuts, which makes getting haircuts more affordable and efficient (cause it only takes 10min!); interesting cosmetic products like Innisfree, face masks, and the new KAHI multibalm which is all the rave; and of course BTS in terms of music and brands/causes that they endorse...just to name a few.
One of the most famous Korean dramas lately is Extraordinary Attorney Woo. There is a new eatery POCHA!, that highlighted some of their menu items as dishes you could identify from that show! haha. So it was nice I could try the authentic Jeju Pork Noodles that they mentioned.
One of my favourite places is of course Kong Cafe, that has been around for some years now and I believe has the best "Korean honey butter wings" I've tasted in Singapore >< It could just be my tastebuds/preference, but I really do like them. Their other dishes like the kimchi pancake is rather nice too (well seasoned), and I finally also got to try the cheesy corndog which seems to be a new trend in Korea. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but the cheese is good, and I get the appeal of it being really stretchy ><
There are also many more Korean supermarkets around, including SolMart which I've come to like because they stock a good variety of items at affordable prices, including my favourite banana milk ( 바나나맛 우유) 🍌🥛. I was super happy the 1st time I found it, because I never thought I'd find the authentic banana milk outside of Korea.
