Due to the COVID pandemic most events had been cancelled this year. However I thought it was very creative of the S'pore Food Festival organizers to covert the event to one that was online/virtual. It involved cooking classes whereby the ingredients could be sent to you and you could follow the class over the internet. There also launched some food/drink products specially for the festival which you could get delivered to your house or order in advance & pick up.
It was held at the end of Aug, but I finally managed to get a box of the Wee Nam Kee X Pretz chicken rice sticks to try! I think there are only a few boxes still available at some supermarkets. They really do have the smell of chicken rice.
During the festival season, I also managed to try the really delicious milo donuts by Burnt Ends Bakery. There weren't too sweet, i really liked the texture of the donuts (airy/soft/not oily), and provided a nice nostalgic feeling of drinking milo dinosaurs at coffee shops :)
