Rise of the Home Bakers! (Part 2)

There was once a rainbow cake trend and for some reason I decided to give that a go for my friends birthdays. It was the cake that took me the longest to make because you needed to bake the different layers and then assemble it, though the colours make it very captivating.

However a few years after I discovered Susanne and her decorative chiffons! I told myself I must try that someday even though it would probably take me even longer than these rainbow cakes haha, and more skill! Her cakes are really cute and come in so many shapes and sizes and she puts so much effort into every detail.

I finally had a chance to try the My Melody kit that she created today :) I had never made chiffon before so I got to learn that at the same time. It was really wonderful to have the step by step video because she also shared tips like how to get the meringue right and the 1/3 rule. It was a fun 1st attempt and I shall try to improve and get fluffier chiffons next time!
