"Warum kann es nicht für immer sein?" #Munich

Why can't it be forever???....I really wish summer didn't have to end :P

Some new discoveries this summer (beer aside :P) were Hans Baer wines ! They produce wine in Rheinhessen, a region in Germany that is home to many wineries. Secco wines is something quite unique to Germany, which is essentially bubbled, semi-sparkling wine. It's quite common to find them in cans (from the supermarket), so you can bring them to parties or picnics and enjoy them outdoors. I also discovered a new bubble tea shop QTea! There is an outlet near Marienplatz and really refreshing in the heat~

If you are roaming around Marienplatz, you might notice this metallic clanging coming from the ceiling of one of the archways. It then leads you through this narrow doorway up a spiral staircase to this 'secret' but marvellous collection of European toys at the Spielzeugmuseum (=toy museum)...and it's not just for kids! >< My favourite were the Steiff bears! : ) (including the attempt at making a teddy bear hot water bag for children but it wasn't very popular ><) The metal toys were depicting everyday life in France and the toy soldiers were quite interesting too in that they standardized the size over time to ensure that collectors could add on pieces.

Also got to visit another very interesting museum featuring memorabilia of Karl Valentin, a famous comedian born in Munich, dubbed the Charlie Chaplin of Germany. They have QR codes around so you can scan them with the local wifi and read the English descriptions of things which is quite nice too, and students get a small discount :P so the entrance fee is 1.99 euros/"pennies". I found some of the props quite funny, especially the "a drop of Official's sweat (very rare)" :P and the literal 'marble cake' >< The cafe on the top floor was really nice too and I had a super indulgent iced latte >< but much needed in the 28 degree weather.

It happened that the day I was there, there was an exhibition about Persil at the Isartor gate as well! and the old promotional video is really cute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nOfxkhKvN8
