I had really hoped to make a trip to the UK sometime this year! Especially since the lockdown ended and things initially appeared to be improving, but COVID has proved us wrong once again :'(
Nevertheless, in my own little way, I've had the chance to have a taste of the UK in Munich, and virtually through KoreanEnglishman/Jolly! :D Their videos have really brought me joy/much laughter, I thought it was really creative to get the queen's limo to drive around in, and I actually watched Kingsman because of them : P "Manners maketh man" indeed.
I've always been someone to have afternoon tea and it was a pleasant surprise to discover this English tea shop with takeaway scones and teacakes! The Victorian House also sells an assortment of teaware and the shop is both cozy and beautiful~
I came home to have the takeaway scones with "english breakfast tea" (the standard tea they serve in England :P) and jam! I know that clotted cream is usually served with scones, but it's my preference to have it with butter and jam. For dinner I also prepared a meal with baked beans (from Aldi), which according to this German brand is the "taste of the british isles" :P
