If you walk past this tiny cafe Bar Centrale in the vicinity of Marienplatz (and the Kunstarkaden housed in an interesting looking building), you'd be greeted as though you were in Italy;- "Buongiorno!!" he says so cheerily : )
The coffee is Illy coffee and there are many treats to pair it with. When I visited they had a special brownie for the day so I got that, though I think the popular choice is usually the Italian croissant. They also have other takeaway meal options like pasta at the moment which looked/smelt really good!
Another interesting cafe I discovered was Bolangerie Dompierre a quaint French bakery a short walk away from Fraunhoferstraße station. When you step inside you truly feel as though you have been transported to France because the shelves are lined with pastries, croissants, and all types of bread. I really like their Chouquettes <3 I also love how all their paperbags are printed with the quote "La vie est belle"- Life is beautiful : )
Although COVID may prevent me from travelling around Europe anytime soon, it's nice to have an authentic little taste of Italy and France in Munich :)
