Hipster caffeinated scientist #Munich

The adventures of the caffeinated scientist continues! :P Discovered a few more coffee places that have a 'hipster' vibe;- think wooden crates/tiny stools, live music, oat milk etc.

Lost Weekend is popular amongst the LMU students. They have the usual cafe type drinks as well as alcoholic options. I took away a dirty chai latte which was nice (was rushing to lab that day and forgot to take a photo ><). They have cool murals on the wall and was packed with students doing work or just chilling when I was there. It's also next to the bookshop.

Another place is Shotgun Sister Coffeebar, and it really reminded me of the cafes I enjoyed in Sydney. The girl who prepared the drinks that day was just lovely and I had a really delicious slice of chocolate cake and a dirty chai made with oat milk : ) It's really near Untersbergstraße U-bahn station so it's easily accessible and I hope to go back someday to try the banana bread : )

Lastly, there's Standl 20, which is part of the Elisabethmarket. "Da wo's an Kafffee gibt"- where there's coffee :D It's a small but interesting market with each stall located in 'containers', and a good option to visit aside from the Viktualienmarkt at the city centre. Also, if you walk in via Agnesstraße, you get to see this rather cool building apparently having housed the post office since 1920!
