Football Fever #Munich

After a 1 year delay due to COVID, I can finally feel the football fever in the air! And this is the 1st time I get to be in Europe when the UEFA EURO is taking place so it is an even more exciting experience for me.

Yesterday was the opening match between Turkey and Italy and U2 was part of the opening ceremony : ) The supermarket has been filled with matchday snacks and drinks leading up to yesterday! My favourite so far is how Knoppers has this hidden code in each packet (like the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory golden ticket ><) which allows you win a chance to meet Thomas Muller in person haha. "Das War Napp" - That was close. Better luck for me next time : P

There is even soccer ball shaped bread! And Lay's has both Messi and Pogba featured on their packets. It was the first time I tried "Krauterbutter"= Herb butter lays chips. With kinder chocolate, you can send in a code to collect stickers for the German football team and try to complete the collection.

It is indeed a fun time even with all the social distancing, and I hope to be able to visit the actual Allianz football stadium when it reopens to the public soon : )
